THERMOSTAT PROCESSING
At Ritech Systems, the processing of copper/wax Thermostats for the automotive and domestic industry has become somewhat of a speciality. With the production of 5 calibration machines for a number of companies both in UK and abroad, we are a market leader in this highly precise process.
HYDRAULIC PUNCH
REFURBISHMENT & UPGRADE
We took an existing flange ring punch machine and used the basic frame, hydraulics power pack and cooler, and the jaw and carriage assembly and created a new operation which could accommodate a greater range of ring diameters.
UPGRADE OPERATING SYSTEM
The brief was to upgrade the operating system to use modern technology and PLC accuracy to improve the angular accuracy of the punched holes. The Hydraulic linear postioning cylinder was also badly worn and leaking so this was replaced with an electric linear cyclinder and amplifier from Festo.
5TH GENERATION THERMOSTAT CALIBRATION MACHINE
5th generation thermostat calibration machine commissioned by Western Thomson India. Control is by Omron PLC and SMC Pneumatics.
CALLIBRATOR EVOLUTION
Gradual evolution of the calibrator has led to the use of can technology to control the pneumatics as seen on the refurbishment and conversion to accommodate a smaller domestic radiator thermostat.
