Nearside view. Disconnected lead in foreground goes to Knock sensor 2 (Rear). The larger diameter hoses are breather and need to be fed through the manifold casting. As the manifold is made from magnesium it is very light, but paint chips off very easily.

The worst electrical plug to get at and off is the connection to the cold start valve. Thi is located inbetween the intakes, underneath the plenum, and is accessed over the top of the MAF tube. Removing the connector is not made any easier due to the length of wire (short). I elected to cut the wire and insert a waterproof 3 wire connector in the line. I would not advise inserting a connector unless you are absolutely confident of the IP rating of the connector, and your soldering ability!
