‘V’ of engine all cleaned up. There is a fell of a lot of rubbish that can get into the inlet tracts, a vacuum clener, torch, and mirror are really useful to make sure everything is clean. The ports were in an amazingly good condition, and the valves were almost spotless.

Changing the Knock sensors requires gettin this far (it is possible, but just see how hard it is to do it properly!) For the sake of £45 each it is worth changing them anyway!!

My inlet valves were remarkably clean - don’t forget that some valves are open, so keep the ports plugged up whilst cleaning the area and removing gasket residue etc.
